Life offers us new challenges and possibilities for growth at every moment. The world reality places us in a scenario where Technology and skills in the use of computer and communication tools are the great allies to overcome difficulties in the different fields of human experience.

In this in-person version of the XV Intercollegiate Olympiad of Informatics and Technology of the José Max León Bilingual School, the focus was on “Women in the ICT sector”.

PROGRAMMING TOURNAMENT

Students from 1th, 2th and 3th grade

This tournament challenges students to create a game according to a specific situation, using the resources of the Scratch Jr. block programming language.

In this category, each participant must design a program in Scratch that provides a solution to a given situation, demonstrating creativity and excellent mastery of the software.

Participants in this category must design and create an App to solve a specific problem, showing off their creativity and mastery of the resource.

Considered the most difficult category, participants will use their skills and mastery in a programming language (Visual Basic .Net., C++, Python, Java, etc.).

In this competition, participants will put into practice all their creativity and mastery of HTML and CSS coding to design a Website that meets the required requirements.

The purpose is to design and create a technological prototype using reusable elements and Lego Education. Led by a CBJML teacher.

Learn strategies, basic techniques and tricks to take a good photograph taking into account issues such as lighting, framing, compositions, among others. There will be a contest with the photographs taken in the workshop.

Workshop on basic techniques, tips and strategies to make a good illustration with a digitizing table. At the end of the workshop, participants are proposed a theme on which they must create an illustration, according to the workshop leader’s instructions.

Learn the basic concepts of modeling three-dimensional objects or shapes through software that will allow you to bring them to life. Workshop led by the Santo Tomás University.

Students from 6th to 11th grade

Workshop led by a specialist in the management of the Lego teaching resource. In this version, prototypes will be assembled using Lego and Arduino blocks. Accompaniment of the company Adtech S.A.

The intention is to provide tools and motivate those students who are oriented to the study of engineering, industrial design and similar. Microsoft Excel required. In charge of the Santo Tomás University.
